原作で出てくる‘死神部隊’に入隊し、頂点の「隊長」を目指す新モード‘護廷十三隊入隊モード’を搭載。キャラを育てて強くせよ！ 隊長になれれば新技も増え、自分が強くしたキャラでアドホック対戦ができる。TVアニメ同様の豪華声優33名を起用。ゲーム内はポータブルにもかかわらずフルボイス！ ファン投票上位の人気キャラが新参戦し、原作で人気のキャラ11体がプレ可能になった。また、“お楽しみ要素”のミニゲーム”BLOCKON”(ブロック崩し)、カード収集や、ラジコンポータブルも健在！
